    3. Right to Be Informed

    4. Right to Choose

      • Ability to select from a range of products and services at competitive prices with satisfactory quality.
    5. Right to Consumer Education

      • Acquire knowledge and skills to make informed and confident choices about goods and services, understanding basic consumer rights and responsibilities.
    6. Right to a Healthy Environment

      • Live and work in an environment that is safe and non-threatening for present and future generations.
    7. Right to Freedom

      • Freedom to express thoughts and ideas, move freely, and engage in any trade or business anywhere in India.
    8. Right to Freedom of Religion

      • Practice, propagate, and worship any religion freely, with the state treating all religions equally.
    9. Right to Equality

      • Equal treatment before the law without discrimination based on caste, creed, religion, sex, or place of birth.
    10. Right to Education and Culture

      • Free education without distinction and preservation of minority languages and cultures.
    11. Right Against Exploitation

      • Protection against forced labor and exploitation, especially for children below 18 years in hazardous occupations.
    12. Right to Constitutional Remedies

Duties

Rights and duties go hand in hand. Here are some fundamental duties that we must follow for the smooth functioning of our country:

    2. Respect Others’ Rights

      • Enjoy our rights and freedom without interfering with the rights and freedoms of others.
    3. Defend the Country

      • Preserve and protect national properties like railways, roadways, bridges, schools, colleges, post offices, historical buildings, and forests.
    5. Pay Taxes

      • Pay taxes honestly and on time, as the government relies on this income for functioning.
